The Cat and Mouse Duet Review
Average
rating (for both): 2.75
Where to
start with this series?! Well first, I’m not even going to put a synopsis. I’m
sure most people know what this duology is. Second, I don’t even know how I would
summarize this or how anyone else would because it is just too much.
I wanted to
review these two books together because I know if I talk about them
individually, this review will take 10 years to read. And I AM going to keep this very short.
I found out about this duology through a Facebook group called BookTok baddies,
and also through TikTok. These books have these people in a chokehold, and I
don’t get it. I really don’t. I’m not trying to yuck anyone’s yum but HOW CAN
YOU LIKE THIS?!
There are no redeeming qualities about it! I will admit the books were entertaining to a certain extent but not good by any means, which is the only reason they didn’t just get one star each. This story was just so off the walls and unsexy to me, but I HAD to know what happened.
Let’s start
with book one…. This one shocked me. I thought I had read some dark romance in
my days, but I don’t even know if this would classify as that. I gave this
one a 3/5 solely for the fact that my boyfriend and I got some good laughs and
shock out of it.
NOTHING
ABOUT THIS BOOK WAS SEXY BY ANY MEANS!
And no shame
to anyone but I don’t know how you can. Everything about this duology made me
so uncomfortable, like I said before, I only finished this duology out of pure
curiosity for how it was going to end.
I don’t really
have too much to say about this without completely bashing it. So I’ll just
leave it with, this was not worth reading, and I’m sure there are better dark
romances out there, but this was not it.
Alrighty!!!
Bye!!!
