Illuminae Re-Review
I said I would come back to it in the future and I did and I was totally bogus with that review. I should have tried to finish it.
Title: Illuminae
Author: Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
Quote:“I should have told you I loved you every day. I should have given you the stars.”
Rating: 3.5/5
Synopsis: This morning, Kady thought breaking up with Ezra was the hardest thing she’d have to do.This afternoon, her planet was invaded. The year is 2575, and two rival megacorporations are at war over a planet that’s little more than an ice-covered speck at the edge of the universe. Too bad nobody thought to warn the people living on it. With enemy fire raining down on them, Kady and Ezra—who are barely even talking to each other—are forced to fight their way onto an evacuating fleet, with an enemy warship in hot pursuit. But their problems are just getting started. A deadly plague has broken out and is mutating, with terrifying results; the fleet's AI, which should be protecting them, may actually be their enemy; and nobody in charge will say what’s really going on. As Kady hacks into a tangled web of data to find the truth, it's clear only one person can help her bring it all to light: the ex-boyfriend she swore she'd never speak to again.Told through a fascinating dossier of hacked documents—including emails, schematics, military files, IMs, medical reports, interviews, and more.

My Thoughts: The book wasn't as bad as I thought it was. I gave it a chance and I finished it and i wasn't disappointed. It was a quick fun read which is what I need after that awful slump I just got passed ( I have a lot of those especially when school starts but I graduated on Sunday so I'm stress free for a while).
Likes:
- The way the story was told was so unique to me and although it took me a while to understand what was going on it still kept the story interesting.
- The art in the book was awesome. I wish I could make art on the computer.
- Ezra and Kady were so cute even though they weren't actually together.
Dislikes:
- AIDEN annoyed the crap out of me but what can you expect from artificial intelligence.
- Those reports about the characters and what they were doing were so annoying.
- Reading the pages where the sentences made a path or something. I never knew which line to read next.
Over all though the story was good. A bit confusing but when I got passed that I was able to enjoy the story. I'm looking forward to reading the next book Gemina.
