The Library at Mount Char

Title : The Library at Mount Char
Author: Scott Hawkins
Rating: 3.5/5
Quote: "Erwin gave no fucks."
Synopsis: Carolyn's not so different from the other human beings around her. She's sure of it. She likes guacamole and cigarettes and steak. She knows how to use a phone. She even remembers what clothes are for. After all, she was a normal American herself, once. That was a long time ago, of course—before the time she calls “adoption day,” when she and a dozen other children found themselves being raised by a man they learned to call Father.Father could do strange things. He could call light from darkness. Sometimes he raised the dead. And when he was disobeyed, the consequences were terrible. In the years since Father took her in, Carolyn hasn't gotten out much. Instead, she and her adopted siblings have been raised according to Father's ancient Pelapi customs. They've studied the books in his library and learned some of the secrets behind his equally ancient power. Sometimes, they've wondered if their cruel tutor might secretly be God. Now, Father is missing. And if God truly is dead, the only thing that matters is who will inherit his library—and with it, power over all of creation. As Carolyn gathers the tools she needs for the battle to come, fierce competitors for this prize align against her. But Carolyn can win. She's sure of it. What she doesn't realize is that her victory may come at an unacceptable price—because in becoming a God, she's forgotten a great deal about being human.
Thoughts: This was probably one of the weirdest books I've ever read. though the beginning did draw me in i was little bit confused as to what was happening with these people. i did like it though i would recommend it since for some reason i was sent 2 copies i might make someone read it.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Review

Title: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Author: J.K. Rowling

# Of Pages: 341

Rating:
★★★★★

Quote: “Honestly, if you were any slower, you’d be going backward.”

Synopsis: All Harry Potter wants is to get away from the Dursleys and go back to Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he's packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature named Dobby - who says that if Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike. And strike it does. For in Harry's second year at Hogwarts, fresh torments and horrors arise, including an outrageously stuck-up new professor, Gilderoy Lockheart, a spirit named Moaning Myrtle who haunts the girls' bathroom, and the unwanted attentions of Ron Weasley's younger sister, Ginny. But each of these seems minor annoyances when the real trouble begins, and someone--or something--starts turning Hogwarts students to stone. Could it be Draco Malfoy, a more poisonous rival than ever? Could it possibly be Hagrid, whose mysterious past is finally told? Or could it be the one everyone at Hogwarts most suspects... Harry Potter himself.

Thoughts: OOOOOHHHH!!! This book…. What can I say? First off let me just say I looooved this book. Ill admit it took me a while to finish it but I did. I’m currently watching the movie adaptation of this book (for the first time). And I feel like they leave sooooo much out of them. Like a lot of Malfoy’s sassy remarks. I love him… Anyways I was so tricked by the end of this book. I didn’t know how to feel and I was a little mad that the person I should’ve expected wasn’t the person I expected if that makes sense… you have to read it to get me. I freaking love Ron. He is literally me in any public environment and I love that I can relate to him so well. I still don’t like Hermione but I’m sure she will grow on me eventually. I just can’t believe it took me this long to get into these books and they are so great. Reading these is like going back to grade school and playing made up games with your friends. ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW… I DON’T CARE HOW OLD YOU ARE IF YOU HAVENT READ ANY OF THE HARRY POTTER BOOKS READ THEM!!!!!!!

The Scorch Trials Movie

Im so excited for this movie. I devoured the book and honestly in my opinion it was the best book in the series. SO WE KNOW THIS MOVIE IS GOING TO BE FANTASTIC! I read the first book after watching the movie and I kind of regret it but Im so happy that i read the second book before the movie so the directors can blow my mind like James Dashner did!! I can't even hold in my excitement! If i go see the movie around the time it comes out there will definitely be a movie review no doubt about that. WHO ELSE IS EXCITED FOR THE SCORCH TRIALS?!?! In theaters September 18, 2015 ugh.

Bradstreet Gate Review

Title: Bradstreet Gate
Author: Robin Kirman
Pages: 320
Rating: ★★★
Quote: "So It would be Julie with a child, a fitter mother, Fitter wife, a better defender of the families of murder victims More accomplished in everything and more deserving of existence."
Synopsis: Georgia, Charlie, And Alice arrive at Harvard with hopeful visions of what the future will hold. But just before graduation, a student is murdered and they find themselves facing a cruel and unanticipated new reality. A charismatic Professor who plays a big part in their lives is suspected of the murder. Though his guilt or innocence is yet to be known the friends relationships will soon hit rock bottom.
Thoughts: This book is pretty interesting. I liked how we get a peek into the characters thoughts and feelings. This book was slow in the beginning and it took a while to pick up the pace but other than that it was a pretty OK book. i don't have much more to say about it other than I'm curious if the author was leaving space for another book or if that was really the ending. This book was given to me for review from Blogging For Books .

BookTuber Recomendations

So I've been lazy I know so I just wanted to post something today to make up for my laziness. Today I'm going to be doing a BookTuber Recommendation as you can read in the title. I got this idea from Alyssa so here we go!

Katytastic: https://www.youtube.com/user/Katytastic
Her channel is amazing one of my favorites actually. She talks about YA books and he videos are really fun. And that leads me to...

Polandbananasbooks20: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOkc2PP2lPDUMLg0p6rGGDQ

Christine is hilarious!! She's loud and really enthusiastic she also talks about YA books.

Jessethereader: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDPo9-NZFNi2Gwe8LnlvAUQ
Jesse's intro makes me laugh so hard. When he all of a sudden whips his head back and makes a whooshing sound! Anyway like all of the other book tubers I watch he reads YA books he also reads graphic novels and comic books. He's probably the only one I enjoy listening to because some of the other book tubers have high pitched voices.

I love his channel and his accent. I believe he reads a lot of YA but I also think there are a lot of Adult books mixed into that.

I also love her accent! She talks about a lot of books I've never heard of and she's so cute! I think aside from the books I watch her videos to hear her talk. Weird I know!

Ugh i love her Channel she has so many books that i want and she's so funny especially when she's doing a booktubeathon challenge.

Another one of my absolute faves. We ship almost all the same ships she sings and she loves twilight! What more can you ask for! But in all seriousness her channel is really great and funny.

I obviously recommend all of these Booktube channels. Ill have a link to all of their channels next to the name.
