Lets Talk about Doctor Who...

A little before Christmas I started watching Doctor Who... and now I'm almost done with season 9!I would have been done way sooner but there is something different about the show that makes me want to not watch it. Maybe its 12? Maybe its the writing?? I don't know but I still like the show and I want to talk about it a little.

I don't think I'm going to talk about the show specifically because I binge watched 8 1/2 seasons and I don't know what happened when. So I just want to talk about each doctor, Companion, and the opening theme, stuff like that.

The Ninth Doctor:

This was the first Doctor I was introduced to and let me just say he was the weirdest looking guy I've ever seen... Not a bad thing because hes adorable but I mean they ever talked about his funny looks in the show... I liked this guy a lot actually and it was because of his character that I even continued watching show because honestly the show is weird as heck in the beginning. Lets be honest about that. But this guy was just freaking hilarious and so sarcastic and without him I wouldn't have even given the show a second thought after the first episode. (It was just so cheesy and the special effects were baadd!!!)

The Tenth Doctor:

Let me just start of by saying I am so in love with the tenth Doctor... Hes just so perfect! Okay now onto the real stuff. Believe it or not I didn't like him in the beginning of season 2 and that's probably because I shipped Rose an Nine so much but anyway! I didn't like him and it took me about 3 episodes after the first one to fall in love. I mean look at him hes such a meatball!!!! So cute in his little brown suit and his converse! He was honestly my favorite Doctor and I'm so glad he got to last so long but hell would i be lying If I said I was happy with how Ten ended. I was not happy at all I cried and I didn't start the next season for a whole week after that. I grew so attached to the Doctor only to have him ripped away! I'm still bitter and sad about his last words... You know what I mean 😭😭😭😭😭😭.

The Eleventh Doctor:

I hated him too. Obviously I mean he's the result of my sons death! I grew to love him just as much as Ten though... and I'm not going to lie I thought Eleven was sexy in his own way. Maybe it was because he was so smart and adorable but he was also a dirty minded little sucker. I swear! I was also glad he got a couple of seasons for himself because like I said I fell in love with Eleven even though the wound Ten left behind was still fresh. And don't get me started on Mr. Clever! Oh and also when he said Allons-y!!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 He was just too perfect and I saw not ready for him to die but on the bright side... he's the only doctor I know of that died of old age... Matt Smith did a fantastic job and I wish he could come back.

The Twelfth Doctor:

I just spoiled myself when I saw this gif... I DIDN'T KNOW RIVER WAS COMING BACK!!!!! Anyway... I can't say much about Twelve because I am not caught up. But like the other two doctors I did not like him. Hes old and mean! That's not the doctor! But I like him now hes mean in a funny way and I'm getting used to him.

I'm not going to say too much about the companions... just a couple sentences.

Rose Tyler:

Out of all of the companions Rose was my favorite... That's probably because I shipped her and the doctor. She was annoying at times but honestly I think what made me like her so much was the fact that she made the Doctor happy... AND THE FACT THAT HE WAS IN LOVE WITH HER!!!!

Martha Jones:

I hate Martha so much still because not only do I ship Rose and the Doctor but also because she made the Doctor feel awful because he didn't love her back. What a (Female Dog)!!! She was just so extra and I hated it! I'm so glad she went and got married to Mickey.

Donna Noble:

To say I love Donna Noble is an Understatement. She was the perfect companion always keeping Ten in check and she was just so funny! I wish she could have stayed with him longer because honestly their friendship was just perfect! They kept each other balanced and that's what the Doctor needed in his life. I think we all need a Donna Noble in our lives!

Amelia Pond:

Lets keep this one short... The most forgettable character on the show. She was also really annoying.

Clara Oswald:

Another companion I absolutely adore! Clara is so cute and smart and funny and again she brings out the best in the Doctor and I hope she sticks around for the long haul because shes perfect!

Opening Theme:
I'm only going to say one thing. They change it too dang much and its annoying!

Saga Volume 6 Mini-Review

I know... I finished Volume 5 and 6 today. I would have posted this two hours ago but I really had to calm myself to write this because.... you'll see. This will be filled with spoilers.

Title: Saga Volume 6
Author: Brian K. Vaughn
Illustrator: Fiona Staples
Rating: 5/5
Synopsis:After a dramatic time jump, the three-time Eisner Award winner for Best Continuing Series continues to evolve, as Hazel begins the most exciting adventure of her life: kindergarten. Meanwhile, her star crossed family learns hard lessons of their own.
Picture: Hazel got so big and shes so cute!!!

My Thoughts:Where do I start??? So this takes place a couple years after the 5th volume and Hazel is so big! My goodness! I cant even... Just the thought of Hazel not seeing her parents for however long made me so sad! But she grew up so fast! She was speaking in full sentences and I'm pretty sure she could speak different languages. That's just in kindergarten! And her parents... Man have they been busy since they lost her. I feel so bad for them having to go through that again but they were out being savages while trying to find their daughter. You know... robbing banks and stuff! Bad ass!!! Have you every been attracted to a cartoon character??? Well I'm attracted to Marko and Alana! Like they are everything and just perfect and I love them both! Their little adventures and bringing out the best in each other... I swear IF ONE OF THEM DIES I WILL NEVER READ AGAIN! But yeah... They were finally together after not even kissing each other for that whole time they were looking for hazel and it made me so happy. I feel like I'm just repeating myself! Everything made me happy and I even got the feels a couple times. Lets just get that straight right now. Now onto The Will... What. The. Hell. He really let himself go and I don't know if that's from being in the hospital all that time or what but it was surprising, but I'm glad hes back in the story. I liked his character a lot but now I'm not sure about him. He seems pretty unstable like hes spiraling into insanity even more than after The Stalk was killed. I mean he wakes up from his coma and I feel like the first thing he did was try to get revenge on Robot IV. I also didn't like the fact that he went after his son... I mean he was a child. He had nothing to do with what happened but fortunately Ghus was there. Hes so cute!!!! I love that little guy!!
Anyway what really got me was the fact that Alana and Marko got Hazel back and some other lady from the prison. The first thing that lady did was punch Alana and then basically said... Shed never kill a woman who is expecting and I flipped out!!!! Mainly because Marko and Alana only had sex once in this whole book and now they are going to have another child to take care of if Alana decides to keep it. I'm so excited for what is going to happen next! So much stuff happened in this volume that I cant even deal with but I'm ready for April..BRING IT ON!!!!
Okay that's all for now Bye!

Saga Volume 5 Mini-Review

Some spoilers ahead. I mean honestly if you haven't read this you shouldn't be reading this post....

Title: Saga Volume 5
Author: Brian K. Vaughn
Illustrator: Fiona Staples
Rating: 3/5
Synopsis:Multiple story lines collide in this cosmos-spanning new volume. While Gwendolyn and Lying Cat risk everything to find a cure for The Will, Marko makes an uneasy alliance with Prince Robot IV to find their missing children, who are trapped on a strange world with terrifying new enemies.
My Thoughts: This was not as good as the other but it was a good addition to the story. I'm very angry with the way some things happened but I'm sure it was all necessary for what is to come. Like always beautiful art and even though I didn't like this one as much the story is still fantastic! I'm so glad Marko found Alana!! I'm also glad IV killed Dengo because he is the reason Hazel and Klara are not with Marko and Alana! But anyway the reunions that we did get were so cute and it made me so happy to see that! On another note... I did not like that some characters were brought in to just die... in stupid ways too! The Brand for example died trying to get Dragon sperm... COME ON! She could have done so much! but her death brought The Will back which at this point is not a good thing for Alana and Marko. I'm so excited to see what happens next!!! I have Volume 6 sitting right next to me as I type this and I'm so ready to read it!!! Also I don't like those revolution guys at all! They're awful!

Saga Volume 4 Mini-Review

There will be a small spoilery section where I talk about some parts that stood out to me.

Title: Saga Volume 4
Author: Brian K. Vaughn
Illustrator: Fiona Staples
Rating: 4.5/5
Synopsis:Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. As they visit a strange new world and encounter even more adversaries, baby Hazel finally becomes a toddler, while her star-crossed parents Marko and Alana struggle to stay on their feet.
Picture: I like this picture a lot. Its a reference to Psycho!!

My Thoughts: Let me just start by saying what I think I say in every single one of these. I love the art its so colorful and the drawings are beautiful. The story is fan-freaking-tastic!! I mean really if you're old enough to read this you should... unless violence, bad language, and sexual themes isn't your thing. This volume made me happy, sad and angry so many times I cant even describe it without spoiling anything. We were introduced to a couple new characters which I'm not sure how I feel about but I'm sure that the more they are involved in the story I will figure it out.

Okay here we are!!! The spoiler section!!! I'm not going to say too much but I just wanted to talk about a couple things...

  • The family "settled down" on Gardenia... WTF! Your family is being hunted and you decide to settle down? I get it you want your child to have a semi-normal childhood but that could never really happen as long as you're wanted!
  • Alana is an actress now... Okay I know shes wearing a costume so no one knows her true identity.
  • She told Yuma (The author's ex wife) her real identity! Stupid stupid stupid!!! Again... YOU'RE ON THE RUN ALANA!!!
  • The Robot Princess had her baby and then the baby got kidnapped and she got killed!!! The janitor (The one that did all that) I didn't really like him. His reasoning for killing her ans taking the baby didn't really make sense to me. I mean yeah his kid died from a treatable illness and yeah they did not help but kidnapping the baby and kidnapping Alana, Hazel and Klara??? I don't get it and I don't like him.
  • Prince Robot IV was off getting a freaking mouth hug while all this was happening.
  • Alana started doing drugs... I was so mad at her because she has a child to think about and she was being stupid.
  • Freaking Marko and the lady from the park!!!! WTF! Hes just like opening up to her and he has no idea who she is! He just knows who she says she is and ugh!!!
  • The page where Hazel said he parents were splitting up! I screamed a little and I almost cried because they went through all that and they were splitting up? I knew they fought a lot but no.Plus I was a tiny bit relieved when I found out they didn't break up.
  • The fight where Marko threw the groceries at Alana. Despite the fact that I was mad at her for the drugs I was glad she told him to go, but at the same time I wasn't because I knew he was going to go to that girl.
  • That lady and Marko almost kissed WTF!!!!!!! But I'm just glad he decided to go back home before anything happened.
  • The Janitor kidnapped them by the time he got there!!!
  • That's when Yuma finds him!! I cant believe she snitched!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Prince Robot IV finds them.
  • Team up to get their Families back!!!!!!! So bad ass!!!!!

Okay I'm done!

5 Comic Books that I Really Want to Read!!!!

Hi guys!! So like I said in a previous post, I'm starting to get into comic books because 1. they're easier to read than books, and 2. they are fun to look at. So here is a list of the top 5 Comics I want to read. There are obviously so many more but at the moment these are what I want to read first. Also I started Saga Volume 4, I will try to read the rest as slowly as possible because Volume 7 comes out in April and I don't want to way too long for the next one.
All the links to the Goodreads pages are at the bottom of the post if you're interested in finding out about these titles.

2.) Lumberjanes by all those people named on the cover.

3.)Y the Last man by Brian K Vaughn

4.) Daredevil: The Man Without Fear by Frank Miller

Sex Criminals Volume 1 Mini-Review

Im sure everyone can tell just by the title that this is not for children!

Title: Sex Criminals Volume 1
Author: Matt Fraction
Illustrator: Chip Zdarsky
Rating: 3.5/5
Synopsis: Suzie’s just a regular gal with an irregular gift: when she has sex, she stops time. One day she meets Jon and it turns out he has the same ability. And sooner or later they get around to using their gifts to do what we’d ALL do: rob a couple banks.
Picture: This was actually in the book! 😂

My Thoughts: This was a little disappointing. I have been hearing people rave about this book and how good it is, and how its their favorite comic book but I don't see it. Now don't get me wrong, I didn't hate it but I expected so much more from it. I was funny and the coloring was really nice, I'm not really sure if I like the art style and the story is not really what I expected it to be. The Synopsis says they do the dirty and when they climax they freeze time and then after finding out they have the same ability they decide to rob a bank. Not exactly. The whole story was really them talking about their childhood and discovering their abilities and then having a bunch of sex. They did rob banks but then it just went somewhere else and I was pretty lost. I am going to continue to see if it get better but at the moment I'm not really impressed. I'm only doing this because the idea of the story is unique and different to me but now I know to lower my expectations for the next one. I wont be continuing this anytime soon but when I can I will let you all know!!
But for now I will be reading the next three volumes of Saga!!!! 💛💙💜♥💖❤💚💓💗💝

What to Expect from Me in the Near Future

Hello everyone! As you know I have had so much trouble finishing books so I decided a while ago to take a break (I kinda have to... all my books are packed in boxes). I've started getting into Comic Books so that I can still post reviews without all the stress of reading an actual novel. It's just easier for me this way. I still don't understand why I'm having trouble reading I mean I do nothing all day. I just sit in the dark, most days I don't even watch TV (WEIRDO!!). Anyway since I've been getting into comics more heres what to expect in the near future (Which probably means the next few days)

If you want to know what these are about I will leave links to the Goodreads pages for them.

Saga Vol 1  You obviously need to read the first 3 first.
Sex Criminals Vol 1  This one sounds super interesting.

Civil War Mini-Review

This is the last one!!! Yay!!!

Title: Civil War: A Marvel Comics Event
Author: Mark Miller
Illustrator: Steve McNiven
Rating: 5/5
Synopsis: A conflict has been brewing from more than a year, threatening to pit friend against friend, brother against brother - and all it will take is a single misstep to cost thousands their lives and ignite the fuse.
My Thoughts: Oh my goodness!!!! I know I gave Daredevil a 5/5 but this one was so much better! If you're planning on reading this and think its anything like the movie, its not. I thought it was going to be similar but its pretty different. So when the story starts it's following the New Warriors and they have this TV show or something and they are trying to take down some villains who are by the way just chilling in the house. Then they cause this huge situation where kids die and boom!

Honestly... I've always been Team Cap.  I totally agreed with him in the movie BUT after reading this I don't think I can ever be Team Iron Man. I get where he was coming from throughout this whole story but the way he went about things was awful. Let me backtrack... I am not saying either side was right but I did agree with Captain America more than Iron Man. I mean all the fighting they did didn't really get them anywhere!

*********************************This is a spoiler!**********************************
I just have to add this because it makes me angry every time I see this...

I was reading an article about this book after I finished it and I saw it in a couple other ones too. Iron Man did not " Savagely Obliterate" Captain America!! If Steve hadn't surrendered he could have destroyed Tony... So stop... Tony may have won but that's all.

I think this got me to react the most. I screamed and cried and I still cannot!!!! There were characters that were new to me and characters I wish could have been in the movie like the Fantastic Four and Punisher! I love Frank so the excitement was real!! Anyway I Freaking loved this so much and I know that since I'm new to the comic Book world that I'm probably reading everything in the wrong order but I think everyone should at least read Civil War because its amazing! Okay that's all for now... Bye!!

Also one more thing!!! In case you were wondering where I got these... I got all the marvel comics and Saga Vol. 2-3 at Half Price Books. They were pretty cheap I think the cheapest one was 8 dollars and the most expensive was 12. I love that store and I got Saga Vol. 1 on Amazon for 10 bucks.

Daredevil: Born Again Volume 1 Mini-Review

Title: Daredevil: Born Again Volume 1
Author: Frank Miller
Illustrator: David Mazzucchelli
Rating: 5/5
Synopsis: "And I -- I have shown him... that a man without hope is a man without fear."The definitive Daredevil tale! Karen Page, Matt Murdock's former lover, has traded away the Man Without Fear's secret identity for a drug fix. Now, Daredevil must find strength as the Kingpin of Crime wastes no time taking him down as low as a human can get.
My Thoughts: Okay... So right away this started on some bs! Karen is a junkie so what she did for another hit was sell Daredevils real name... Witch! I can't believe she did that especially with knowing that Daredevil has a lot of enemies! Also apparently they were lovers. Now I know in the show they have a "thing" but I didn't think they would ever be in a relationship. Anyway because Karen gave his name away so much crap happens and I was so angry at her throughout the book because I love Matt Murdock! He is my sweet blind child who doesn't deserve to be treated so badly! So throughout I was just so sad seeing Matt lose everything because Wilson Fisk knows his identity.!!! This one was a little different from the rest mainly because it's an older book (1986). The art is different the coloring is super exaggerated and bright but I think that made it a little more interesting to read, because it's different from the other ones I've read. But yeah I definitely liked it a lot and I want to read the next one because I need to know what happens to Matt and how he's going to get his life back!
Links: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/343662.Daredevil

Also let me just say... In preparation of the new Iron Fist and The Defenders Shows watch Daredevil Jessica Jones and Luke Cage!! I've only watched the first two shows but I know that they are fantastic!!! So do that... Yeah... okay bye!

Saga Volume 3 Mini-Review

Minor Spoilers

Title: Saga Volume 3
Author: Brian K. Vaughn
Illustrator: Fiona Staples
Rating: 5/5
Synopsis: Saga is the sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. Searching for their literary hero, new parents Marko and Alana travel to a cosmic lighthouse on the planet Quietus, while the couple's multiple pursuers finally close in on their targets
My Thoughts:I absolutely loooved this one!!!! So much happened with all of the characters!! First I want to talk about Marko and Alana.they made me so angry when they stopped at the authors house! I mean they have so many people after them and they friggin stopped to meet some guy that wrote the book that brought them together... The whole time I was just like YOU DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS!!! But they stayed with the author for a while actually. So when people started catching up to them it wasn't a surprise... And the Robot Price IV... I hate that guy and hes really weird... He has these weird sexual images that pop up on his face sometimes and its super awkward, especially when hes unconscious and then that's just there. And Gwendolyn.... Of shes a Witch with a B and the fact that shes teamed up with The Will makes me a little angry because I sorta like him. Shes just bossy and annoying while hes trying to do things that are important to him. Eh... I don't know...
I don't think I really cared about any of the characters until I read this so I was so angry with the ending of this volume... especially since I didn't have any of the other books! But I will have the next three volumes by Friday hopefully! Unfortunately Volume 7 doesn't come out until April.

Okay that's all for now... Bye!!

Captain America: Winter Soldier Volume 1 Mini-Review

Title: Captain America: Winter Soldier Volume 1
Author: Ed Brubaker
Illustrator: Michael Lark, Steve Epting, John Paul Leon
Rating: 4/5
Synopsis: Cap is awakened in the dead of the night by agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., who need the kind of help only he can provide. But the corpse he finds on the Helicarrier brings him face-to-face with the unthinkable, and opens doors to terror and manipulation he never dreamed possible!

My Thoughts: Okay so I'm sure most of you don't know that I'm kinda obsessed with The Winter Soldier ( Bucky)... I was a little sad that he didn't show up until almost the end because the comic is literally called Captain America: Winter Soldier but when he did show up I screamed so loud! I mean how can you not be excited about him???

I mean look at this cute little cupcake!!!! He's so precious and beautiful!!! Anyway... Red Skull was in here and he was so scary! He was like a lumpy skull shaped red velvet cake (Not in a good way). Things happened that were crazy and Steve... stuff kept happening to him I'm not sure what it was! He kept having these really realistic memories and I'm thinking it is the same thing that happened to another character. But if you want to find out you have to read it... or look it up. But he was having these vision like things about ways that Bucky was tortured or killed in front of him. It was pretty sad because he didn't know if it was real or not. Poor Stevie! At this point I don't remember if Steve knows he's alive yet but my little bucky bear needs to get his memories back and find his beast friend!!!

Okay bye!

Guardians of Galaxy: Cosmic Avengers Mini-Review

Title: Guardians of the Galaxy:Cosmic Avengers Vol. 1
Author: Brian Michael Bendis
Illustrator(s): Steve McNiven, Yves Bigerel, Michael Avon Oeming. Sara Pichelli
Synopsis: There’s a new rule in the galaxy: No one touches Earth! But why has Earth suddenly become the most important planet in the galaxy? That’s what the Guardians of the Galaxy are going to find out!
Rating: 3/5

My Thoughts: I didn't like this as much as I expected I would, and maybe that's because the sarcasm and all the jokes that made the movie so good just wasn't in there. I guess I just went into this with really high expectations and I disappointed myself. Now I'm not saying it was bad because it wasn't but it is definitely more serious and action packed. On the bright side Tony Stark (Iron Man) was in it being rich and stuff. I was a little confused as to why he was even in this if he is an Avenger, but then I decided to ignore it... but for real why was he in it?
Even though I finished this in one sitting it was hard for me to get through and that's probably because I was disappointed, I did read this after saga so that could explain a lot... Peters dad was an asshole I hate him... Groot was really scary so was Drax. Like they look really scary in here, I just cant explain it. Frigga made an appearance but she is different from what I expected. Shes not the soft and loving woman we got to see in the Thor movies... shes like the opposite. I don't know what else to say about this... the art was pretty I guess... Anyway that's all for now so bye!!!

Saga Volume 2 Mini-Review

By the way I forgot to mention this in the first review for this series, this is NOT for children. There is violence, blood and gore, sexual content and strong language. Just to let everyone know...

Title: Saga Volume 2
Author: Brian K. Vaughn
Illustrator: Fiona Staples
Synopsis: Saga is sweeping tale of one young family fighting to find their place in the universe. Thanks to her star-crossed parents Marko and Alana, newborn baby Hazel has already survived lethal assassins, rampaging armies, and horrific monsters, but in the cold vastness of outer space, the little girl encounters her strangest adventure yet... grandparents.
Rating: 4/5

My Thoughts: This volume was more interesting than the first. We get introduced to Marko's parents as well as his Ex-girlfriend. That alone made it much more interesting because everyone is already looking for the couple. The Ex teams up with a freelancer to try and find them and the Ex is pretty pissed about the fact that he had a baby with the enemy, I thought that was hilarious because I don't think they were together while he was in prison... Anyway like the last one, the art was nice and simple and I obviously liked the story. Now that I am getting used to reading these I've been going through them faster. I mean I finished 7 in four days so... yeah. I obviously already read the third volume so you know I like it. Its different from anything I've ever read before and I am really enjoying it so far!

Capatain America: To Serve and Protect Mini-Review

A lot of the marvel comics I got were out of order. I don't know how this stuff works so I just grabbed the first volumes of the ones that look interesting. Sorry.

Title:Captain America: To Serve and Protect
Author:Mark Waid
Rating: 4/5
My Thoughts: I liked this comic fairly well considering this is the first marvel comic I've ever read in my life. I was in Half Price Books for about an hour and a half trying to decide if I wanted to get a book or a comic. Hard decisions but when I finally decided this was the first one I found and I snatched it! I am so in love with Steve Rogers so as soon as I saw this I had to have it. When I started it was a little hard to get used to, mainly because I read Saga Vol.1 first and the art is really simple. But this one was just so busy! There was so much going on in each scene and it kinda distracted me from the text but when I got used to it, it was easier to read. As I was reading it I was kinda like wtf is going on. This starts in Tokyo and the city is westernizing and there is a group of people that don't like that, saying its a disgrace to their culture. Captain America at that point is said to be dead so when he goes to try to save the day no one believes its him. I'll just say it was a little weird.
Anyway! When the story started picking up and other villains started getting introduced, I thought it was pretty interesting. I want to find the next one and try to read these in order... but there are so many! I'll figure it out or just keep reading the ones I find no matter the order. Eh. Well see. But  I did like the story, despite the scenes being busy I liked the art it was super colorful. Yeah okay... Bye! 😗

Saga Vol. 1 Mini-Review

Title: Saga Volume 1
Author: Brian K. Vaughn
Illustrator: Fiona Staples
Rating: 3.5/5
Summary: When two soldiers from opposite sides of a never-ending galactic war fall in love, they risk everything to bring a fragile new life into a dangerous old universe.
My Thoughts: I went into this not really knowing what it was about but I surely not disappointed. I was a little confused with what was happening but it was not boring. The art is beautiful and not distracting like in marvel comics and the story is really interesting. It is told in the baby's point of view which is not as bad as it sounds. I really like this story and I bought the other two volumes and read them already!
