The Walking Dead Volume 9. The shortest review I will probably ever write.

I started this review 5 days ago and I still don't want to write it so this will be SUPER short!

Title: The Walking Dead Volume 9: Here We Remain
Author: Robert Kirkman
Illustrator: Charlie Adlard and Cliff Rathburn
Rating: 4/5
Synopsis: In the last volume we learned that no one is safe. Now, after the staggering losses they've sustained, Rick and Carl are left to pick up the pieces and carry on, knowing that they could join their fallen friends and family at any moment
Picture: I don't really have an actual picture just the speech bubble with Abraham's awful language. I thought it was funny. He was like I hope you guys aren't a bunch of stupid mfs.

My Thoughts: WOO!!! I finally got to read some more TWD. I've had the book for a couple weeks now but I wanted to read everything I bought before this first and I did so here we are, like a week later. I  really liked it, it was literally like watching that where the same exact thing happened. Maybe that's why I don't feel like writing this. Any way you know this episode:

And just for fun I'll add this too because its hilarious!

Picture:

My Thoughts: This is the second comic book that I have read by Matt Fraction and I actually like this one (Which makes me so happy because I love Hawkeye).I mean look at that little cupcake!
Going Pew Pew with his little bow and arrows... I'm sorry... Anyway! I really enjoyed the story it was really funny and I would be open to reading the next volume. Only problem I have with it ( that's why it took me so long to read it too) is the art. I hate it so much and I honestly think its because it looked like a bunch of sketches were colored in and I cant stand that. Some I can deal with but I like clean crisp lines and colorful pictures. Anyway... Clint was like a total dork in this and I sorta kinda liked Kate (I need to know more about her). One thing I liked was there was like a little bit at then end which I'm guessing were the Young Avengers. I really liked reading that. I might even go try to find it at a book store or something.. but yeah great story.. One thing that confused me was the part about Clint being a weapon I don't know if that is about what is mentioned in the book or something else but it really confused me because I thought this was going to be more of a villain turned hero story or something but... other than that... That's all I have to say for now... Okay Bye!!!

Captain America: Red Menace Mini-Review

Title: Captain America: Red Menace Ultimate Collection
Author: Ed Brubaker
Illustrator(s): Mike Perkins, Steve Epting, Javier Pulido, Marcos Martin, Frank D'Armata, Javier Rodriguez
Rating:2.5/5
Synopsis: Six months ago, Crossbones kidnapped the Red Skull's daughter, Sin, from a government re-education facility and disappeared into the night. Now, he and his spawn of infinite evil have come to the American Midwest to tear a new hole in A.I.M. - but none of them counted on Cap and Agent 13 stumbling into the mix.
Picture:

My Thoughts: I honestly didn't like this that much... I mean I've been reading it since March 27 and I finished it last night so.... I just didn't really like the story... It was kinda all over the place and when everything came together it didn't really make sense. I did love Bucky though.  It's Bucky how can you not love him???
And honestly I only finished this because I really love Captain America and I didn't want to leave it unfinished ( but I'll leave books unfinished if I don't like them 🤣). Maybe its just the Red Skull that I didn't like because when I saw Crossbones on the cover I got pretty excited (I don't like Sharon). So yeah. I don't really have much to say except I didn't like that flashback part when they were in the war with the Nazis and that art was super old looking and I just didn't like it. I didn't really like the art at all in the whole thing because the characters looked so much alike I didn't know who was who.
These people are the only reason I finished this...

They deserve very large pictures because I couldn't have done it without them. Anyway... Like I said I didn't like the story or the art all that much so yeah... That's all for now. Okay... Bye!!

King's Cage Review

I know... I FINALLY FINISHED A BOOK!!! Well more like struggled though it but I'm glad I did because King's Cage was one of my most anticipated books... by the way this is going to have spoilers because I need to talk about this.

Title: King's Cage (Red Queen #3)
Author: Victoria Aveyard
Rating: 3.5/5
Quote: "Stupid people are easier to control."
Synopsis: Mare Barrow is a prisoner, powerless without her lightning, tormented by her lethal mistakes. She lives at the mercy of a boy she once loved, a boy made of lies and betrayal. Now a king, Maven Calore continues weaving his dead mother's web in an attempt to maintain control over his country—and his prisoner. As Mare bears the weight of Silent Stone in the palace, her once-ragtag band of newbloods and Reds continue organizing, training, and expanding. They prepare for war, no longer able to linger in the shadows. And Cal, the exiled prince with his own claim on Mare's heart, will stop at nothing to bring her back. When blood turns on blood, and ability on ability, there may be no one left to put out the fire—leaving Norta as Mare knows it to burn all the way down
My Thoughts: Okay to be honest I still don't know how I feel about this book. I mean I really liked the first half because so much was happening and we were learning so much about why Maven is the way he is... but then the book took a turn .Mare was back with the Scarlet Guard, and the story just got boring. I personally don't ship Mare and Cal so I wasn't so thrilled with that but the one thing that bothered me the most is that he went from being a shaky ally to the love of her life in the couple months she was in captivity. Those couple months which she in fact didn't even really think about him. She was so focused on "hating" Maven so how????? And honestly I think the time she spent with him made her hate him even less no matter how much she says she wants to kill him... because I feel like she could have done it a bunch of times and never did. I felt bad for Maven after hearing about what his mother did to him and if you all have read my reviews on the other books, you know that I love Maven. I think Mares jabs at him make me like him even more even though what he did in Glass Sword and some of the stuff he did in this book made me mad at him. Maven is just one of those characters I sympathize with even though hes not exactly "Good".
Now lets get to other things.... Like the fact that in the second half of the book literally nothing happened!!! That's what has me confused if I really like it or not because the second half of books are what really make it or break it for me (If I like it enough to get passed the first few chapters). That whole second half was just Mare and Cal training and having sex and doing absolutely nothing until all of a sudden Mavens armies are looking for a fight....  WHAT?!!?!?! I mean small things happened like Farley had Shades baby... sad. and there are other newbloods like Mare... wow. But that's it.. And the ending GOSH!! Can you be less obvious!!!
I'm talking about the Epilogue.... I mean we all pretty much knew that someone was going to try to put Cal on the throne. I mean MARE WAS LITERALLY IN THE CASTLE WHEN THEY TRIED TO KILL MAVEN AND THEY SAID SOMETHING ALONG THE LINES OF " LONG LIVE THE KING TIBERIAS CALORE VII" Did she really think they wouldn't try to make him king??? Also he was pretty much made to be the king... Did she think he would give up who he is?? I get that they "love" each other but come on... It isn't real. Hes like her rebound x2! I just cant with their relationship and I'm glad its over because it gives Mare a chance to work on her crap. AND MAYBE FIND A DECENT GUY THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT HER!!!! *cough* Kilorn *Cough* I don't really ship it but hes a good guy and even though things weren't perfect he tried to be there for her despite his limitations and she always put him to the side because she was blinded by those Hot ass Princes. *sigh* I need to end this here because this is basically a rant... I'm just confused about this so maybe when the next book comes out I'll feel better about the events in this book. I did say I liked the first half but the second half really dragged it down for me. So yeah... That's all for now. Okay... Bye!!!

Outcast Volume 1 Mini-Review

Title: Outcast Volume 1
Author: Robert Kirkman
Illustrator: Paul Azaceta
Rating: 4/5
Synopsis: Kyle Barnes has been plagued by demonic possession all his life and now he needs answers. Unfortunately, what he uncovers along the way could bring about the end of life on Earth as we know it.
Picture:

My Thoughts: I really liked this story even though it was pretty slow I found it very interesting. I would have given it 5/5 but I really didn't like the art and it kinda bothered me while reading, nut I liked the story enough to want to continue.
I knew this was about Demonic Possession and stuff because I had watched the first episode on HBO before the episode aired but I found it a little more creepy reading it and looking at it in complete silence. The coloring was very dark it had a lot of black, blues and brown so it made the story seem more creepy.
When I got to the part with the first possession Kyle encountered I was like...
But then after I was like...

By the way, Yeah.... I love Jasper Hale... Sue ME!!! Anyway... I got really into it and I feel like it ended so quickly. If I'd known I would like it so much I would have bought the second volume... But it is what it is. If I have money Ill but the second volume with Volume 7 of Saga... I need to know what happens in both because I find things about supernatural creatures really interesting... And because...

Honestly If you are still super behind on Supernatural I'm sorry... not.

Anyways... I don't think I've read enough to really connect with the characters so I don't know if I like them or not but I feel really bad for Kyle and how he had to live (in the past and present)... Okay... That's all for now... Bye!!!

Deadpool vs. X-Force Mini-Review

Look how pretty that cover photo is!!!

Title: Deadpool vs. X-Force
Author: Duane Swierczynski
Illustrator: Pepe Laraz
Rating: 5/5
Picture:

Synopsis: Journey back to the gritty, hyper-detailed days of the 1990s, when two characters debuted who would change the face of comics...Cable and Deadpool! Now, in this all-new tale, we learn of the pair's first meeting - well before New Mutants #98 - as Cable and his soon-to-be X-Force race through the time stream to stop the reckless mercenary Deadpool before he destroys American history for good! Everything you knew about Cable and Deadpool's shared history was wrong...but that's okay, because everything you're about to read is way more awesome!
My Thoughts: This is the first time I've ever read anything about Deadpool and I looooovvvvveeeeedddddd IT!!!!! I really loved the coloring in this, it was so colorful and vibrant and I don't think I've loved art this much since Saga. Which by the way the seventh volume should be out soon right? Anyway... Like always Deadpool was super funny and I actually really liked Cable even though he was kind of a D-Bag. But I did like him in the story and I loved the time travel and stuff. One thing I really found funny was when he kidnapped Hitler and he was like a small child or something. I don't even know but I found it funny. Yeah so that's it... I have a hard time reviewing comic books because there isn't much to say.... I do want to read more Deadpool that's for sure.... Okay... Bye!
