Throne of Glass Review

Oh my goodness! I just realized I never posted a review for this book. I was so distracted by Crown of Midnight I completely forgot! But anyway lets get to it!

Title: Throne of Glass

Author: Sarah J. Maas

Rating: *****

Quote: “My name is Celaena Sardothien. But it makes no difference if my name's Celaena or Lillian or Bitch, because I'd still beat you, no matter what you call me.”

Summary: After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin. Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king's council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she'll serve the kingdom for four years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilarating. But she's bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her... but it's the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best. Then one of the other contestants turns up dead... quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.

Thoughts: I LOVED THIS BOOK! Where do I start... This book had the perfect mixture of action and mystery and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I don't know what to say about this book because there is so much to say but I don't know how. Celeana's character really inspired me because she never gave up when she was faced with a challenge and I loved that about her but what I hated was that she wouldn't get with the guy i wanted her to get with. There was so much tension between them and still NOTHING happened. I literally wanted to scream! They are my OTP for forever and hopefully in the next books I will get to read?.... them together.
Now onto the next character Chaol (like chaos). First it took me forever to figure out how to pronounce his name like is it pronounced Kol or is it Chale (is that even a name?!) I DIDN'T KNOW AND I SOUNDED SO STUPID IN MY HEAD! But the character itself was probably my favorite mainly because he was so mean and funny and I can relate to him. Hes so anti-social and rude and its so funny! I feel that more books need characters like him.

Okay I feel that talking about the characters is so unnecessary so I'm just gonna stop that and get straight to the good stuff.

IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE BOOK BE WARNED... SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED....

Okay for those of you who have read the book... is that right? eh. Can we just talk about all the tension between Chaol and Celeana? Every time they were together on the pages I was so happy! They would be so good together! Especially at the end after the final fight oh GOD! He was so worried about her and it was so cute it gave me ALL of the FEELINGS!

On another note was I the only one who suspected Cain of killing all those people the whole time? The way he was described I thought of a serial killer and it just kinda made sense in my head. How did he learn how to use the Wyrdmarks to conjure up the ridderak?

SPOILERS OVER!

Overall the book was great i absolutely loved it and I definitely will be continuing the series so maybe some of you guys could join me on my journey into the Throne of Glass world.
